NASHVILLE - Arvid "Billy" Dalton Dunn, age 91, passed away on Monday, August 31, 2026. Born in Nash County on August 26, 1935, he was the son of the late Arvid Monroe Dunn and Mary Edith Strickland Dunn. He was also preceded in death by his brother, Robert Franklin Dunn and his sisters, Geraldine Dunn Stancil Worrell, Edith "E.J." Dunn Cooper, Daphine Dunn Craft, and Cora Lee Dunn Rollins.

Billy is survived by his wife of 63 years, Doris Faye Evans Dunn; his children, Lorri Trail (Mark) of North Myrtle Beach, SC, Bill Dunn (Bill Godfrey) of Edmonton, Alberta, Canada, Daphne Autrey (Gary) of Creedmoor, and Beverly Joyner (Edward) of Rocky Mount; eight grandchildren; two great grandchildren; his sister, Peggy Dunn Lynch of Rocky Mount; and many nieces, nephews, extended family members.

A Mass of Christian Burial was held September 5, 2026, at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, Rocky Mount with Rev. Father Paul Nicholas Cottrill officiating. Burial followed the service at Rocky Mount Memorial Park.
