BAILEY - Shelby Jean Bailey, 85, passed away Monday, November 6, 2023. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Joyner's Funeral Home, Wilson. Glenn Bass, her nephew, will officiate. Interment will be private.

The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 6 - 8 p.m. at Joyner's Funeral Home, 4100 Raleigh Road Parkway, Wilson and other times at the home.

Shelby is survived by her son, Marty Murray and wife, Dale; daughters, Susie Austin and husband, Ricky, and Christy Murray; five grandchildren; 11great-grandchildren; and her sisters, Ruth Bass and Joan Richardson and husband, Steve.

She was preceded in death by her son, Scotty Murray; great-grandson, Michael Austin; parents, Willard and Sudie Williams; sister, Betty Lou Waddell, and Melvin Murray, the father of her children and first husband.
